I created my first website (one of the first business websites in the world) nearly 20 years ago, in 1994, so I am not exactly new either to web publishing or to storytelling, which I’ve been doing my entire life.
Most of my adult life, however, has been consumed by the need to work to support my ever-growing family, leaving little time or energy for writing or publishing that was not directly connected to my job. Until now, my personal writing remained just that — personal — scribbled in notebooks or hidden on hard drives.
Until now… but why now? I believe that question has no good answer. “Write or Die”? No… if I don’t write, my heart will continue to beat (at least for a while). No, what I have come to realize is that I do not have to write – not in the same way I need to eat, sleep, and breathe – but I believe that my world (and the world, of which I am a small but meaningful part) will be a better place if I do so.
I hope that what you find here will help you to step outside of yourself, if only for a brief moment, into the world that I see, or imagine, or as I wish it to be.
